From pond-edge hardware to cloud software, every system described here was built and is maintained by our engineering team in Kolkata.
The core JetFeeder product. An automatic feeder designed for shrimp pond environments, combining precision hardware with software-driven feeding management across entire farms.
JetFeeder's automatic feeding system handles the complete feeding cycle for shrimp farms: precise feed dosing, flexible scheduling, and centralised management from a single interface. The system operates reliably offline and can be monitored and controlled remotely when connectivity is available.
Our team is responsible for the firmware running inside the feeder controllers, the communication layer connecting devices to the farm management platform, and the software that farm operators use to configure, monitor and report on their operations.
The offline-first design is a deliberate engineering choice. Shrimp farms in Latin America and Asia frequently operate in areas with unreliable connectivity. Every feeding function runs locally on the device, with cloud synchronisation happening opportunistically when a connection is available.
JetFeeder · Core Product
A dedicated feeding system engineered for the nursery stage of shrimp cultivation, where precise micro-feed distribution is critical to survival rates and early growth performance.
The nursery stage is the most sensitive phase of shrimp farming. Post-larvae shrimp require very fine, uniformly distributed feed across high-density nursery tanks. Standard feeding equipment is not suited to this environment — the Nursery Edition was engineered specifically for it.
Our team developed the firmware and control systems that deliver precise micro-dosing across the 0.3 to 1.2mm particle size range required for nursery-stage feed, and integrated the system with the same JetFeeder management platform used for grow-out operations.
The primary engineering challenge in the Nursery Edition is dosing control at very small particle sizes across a consistent distribution pattern. The firmware implements tight motor control loops and calibration routines that maintain accuracy regardless of ambient humidity or feed moisture levels.
JetFeeder · Nursery Stage
An underwater acoustic sensor monitors shrimp feeding activity in real time. Feed distribution is adjusted based on actual consumption signals rather than pre-set schedules.
Water temperature and dissolved oxygen are continuously tracked. Feeding rates are automatically modulated when conditions fall outside optimal ranges for shrimp metabolism.
IFT treats every pond as a distinct ecosystem. Parameters are tuned per pond based on observed data, not farm-wide averages, allowing each unit to optimise independently.
By feeding precisely when shrimp are actively consuming, IFT improves feed conversion ratios and supports faster, more uniform growth through the production cycle.
Sensor data is recorded across every feeding event, building a historical dataset per pond. This feeds reporting, predictive maintenance, and ongoing system improvement.
IFT integrates directly with new or existing JetFeeder automatic feeders. No proprietary infrastructure required. Operating from 3 grams shrimp body weight.
Our team engineers the firmware and software responsible for acquiring, filtering and interpreting hydrophone audio signals in real time. Distinguishing meaningful feeding activity from background pond noise is a core challenge we have refined over multiple product generations.
Temperature and dissolved oxygen sensors are integrated at the firmware level, with data flowing through the device communication stack to the cloud platform. Sensor calibration, fault detection and data quality assurance are all handled in our engineering code.
The feeding decision logic that translates sensor readings into motor commands is built and maintained by our team. This includes per-pond parameter management, threshold configuration, and the data pipeline feeding analytics and predictive reports in the JetFeeder platform.
The web-based software platform that farm managers use to configure, monitor and analyse their JetFeeder operations. Built and maintained entirely by our engineering team in Kolkata.
